Europa-Kolleg Hamburg
The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg is an internationally recognised, interdisciplinary institution for education and research in the field of European integration. With the Institute for European Integration and two Master Programmes, the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg offers an excellent platform for research, teaching and learning in the area of European studies. Renowned lecturers, the specialised library for European studies, the integrated residential area, important projects, events and publications provide a stimulating environment for students and researchers from around the world who have the highest expectations in the area of European integration.
The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg was founded in 1953 as a non-profit-making foundation under private law. The foundation has the objective of furthering research and academic teachings in the area of European Integration and international cooperation. The foundation contributes to the financing thereof and executes all the connected administrative tasks. The foundation is supervised by an Honorary Board and is advised by a Board of Trustees.
Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg
The Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH) was founded in 1971 and is an independent entity operating as a civil law foundation. According to the charter, the aim of the institute’s work is to address security policy problems within the framework of peace research and, in doing so, fulfil the criteria for independent research and instruction, advancement of early career scholars and the publicising of research findings.
University of Hamburg
As the largest research and educational institution in Northern Germany and one of the largest universities in Germany, the University of Hamburg combines a diverse range of courses with excellent research. It offers a broad spectrum of subjects with numerous interdisciplinary foci and has an extensive cooperation network with top institutions at regional, national and international level.

Villa Vigoni
Villa Vigoni e.V. is the German-Italian Centre for European Dialogue on Lake Como. Its mission is to foster and deepen the German-Italian relations in a European perspective.
Villa Vigoni was founded in 1986 by the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Italy. Its sponsoring ministries are the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
